The drug increased the risk of hospitalization and death for patients from 7% to 1%.

Today the situation is different. About 90% of people in the United States have been given their first dose of the vaccine. 60% of Americans have had Corona at least once. The hospitalization rate of vaccinated individuals is also less than 1%. In such a case, health professionals are raising questions about the effect of Paxlovid tablet on them.

Health experts are criticizing the tablet

Dr. A.S. Michael Charnes of Boston’s VA Health System said – Paxlovid is a very effective drug, but perhaps weakens against the Omicron variant. On the other hand, both the FDA and Pfizer have reported that even in early studies with the tablet, 1-2% of people had problems with coronary symptoms that returned 10 days after recovery from infection.
